Welcome to Jalsah – a technology platform designed to manage appointments for providers of psychological therapy, counseling, mental wellness support, and life coaching. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the platform. By accessing or using Jalsah, you agree to be legally bound by the terms set out below.

1. Definitions

Client: Refers to any user who books psychological therapy, counseling, mental health services, or coaching sessions through the platform, including patients, beneficiaries, guardians, or authorized representatives.

Provider: Refers to the independent service provider (psychiatrist, psychologist, counselor, life coach, etc.) who is not an employee, affiliate, or representative of Jalsah.

Jalsah: The online platform (website or mobile application) facilitating the scheduling, payment, and communication between clients and providers.

2. Nature of the Platform

Jalsah is a neutral technology-based platform that facilitates bookings and payments between clients and independent providers.

Jalsah does not offer or supervise any therapeutic, counseling, or coaching services.

Providers are solely responsible for the services they deliver; Jalsah is not a party to any therapeutic or professional relationship.

3. Client’s Responsibility for Verification

Clients are solely responsible for verifying the identity, credentials, licenses, and professional qualifications of providers prior to engaging their services.

Jalsah does not validate or guarantee the competence, licensing status, or legitimacy of any provider listed on the platform.

4. Limitation of Liability

Jalsah bears no responsibility for any damages, misconduct, unprofessional behavior, or content delivered during sessions.

Any disputes, ethical concerns, or clinical errors arising from the session are strictly between the client and the provider.

5. Clients Outside the Arab Republic of Egypt

All mental health service providers available through this platform are licensed to practice in the Arab Republic of Egypt in accordance with Egyptian laws and regulations. There is no guarantee that they are licensed or accredited in any other jurisdiction outside Egypt. If you are a user residing outside Egypt, you bear full responsibility for ensuring that your use of the platform’s services complies with the laws and regulations applicable in your country of residence, including those related to professional licensing, data protection, and teletherapy regulations. By using the platform, you acknowledge and agree to receive the service in accordance with the laws and standards in effect within the Arab Republic of Egypt, and you release the platform and its therapists from any legal or professional liability that may arise from your use of the service from outside Egypt, particularly in countries that require local licensing or impose restrictions on remote therapy.

Clients residing outside Egypt are solely responsible for ensuring that the use of Jalsah’s services is legally permitted in their jurisdiction, including compliance with local licensing, privacy, and telehealth regulations.

By using Jalsah, clients acknowledge and agree that services are rendered under Egyptian laws and standards, and waive any legal claims arising from jurisdictional conflicts.

6. Rescheduling and Cancellation

Each provider sets their own policies regarding session rescheduling and cancellations.

Jalsah does not process or guarantee refunds once a payment is completed.

Clients must review the provider’s terms before booking.

7. Misuse of the Platform

Any attempt to circumvent pricing policies through the use of VPNs, proxies, or third-party accounts is strictly prohibited.

Jalsah reserves the right to cancel any booking without refund and permanently ban users who violate this policy.

8. Payment and Technical Errors

If a payment is processed but the session is not confirmed, the client should contact their payment provider or bank for resolution.

Jalsah is not liable for technical failures or errors arising from third-party payment gateways or infrastructure.

9. Data Privacy

By using the platform, clients consent to the collection and use of their personal data for the purpose of improving service quality and user experience.

Jalsah shall not be held liable for any data breaches or leaks resulting from external cyberattacks beyond its reasonable control.

10. Misconduct Toward Providers

In the event that a client displays disrespectful, abusive, or inappropriate behavior toward a provider during a session, the provider reserves the right to terminate the session immediately without refund.

Such conduct may result in temporary or permanent suspension of the client’s account.

11. Acceptance and Amendments

By proceeding with any booking or payment, the client expressly accepts all terms outlined herein.

Jalsah reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the platform constitutes the client’s acceptance of any revised terms.
